Der Wolf im Schafspelz

Ein hungriger Wolf lebte in der Nähe einer Farm.

A hungry wolf lived near a farm.

Jeden Tag beobachtete er die Schafe, wie sie auf dem Feld Gras aßen.

Every day, he watched the sheep eating grass in the field.

Der Wolf wollte ein Schaf fangen, aber der Hirte beobachtete sie immer sorgfältig.

The wolf wanted to catch a sheep, but the shepherd always watched them carefully.

"Ich brauche einen Plan", dachte der Wolf.

"I need a plan," thought the wolf.

Eines Tages fand der Wolf ein altes Schafsfell auf dem Boden.

One day, the wolf found an old sheep skin on the ground.

Er hat es sich wie einen Mantel überzogen.

He put it over his body like a coat.

Jetzt sah er aus wie ein Schaf!

Now he looked like a sheep!

Der Wolf ging mit den anderen Schafen ins Feld.

The wolf walked into the field with the other sheep.

Der Hirte sah ihn nicht.

The shepherd did not see him.

Die anderen Schafe wussten nicht, dass er ein Wolf war.

The other sheep did not know he was a wolf.

"Das ist perfekt!" dachte der Wolf.

"This is perfect!" thought the wolf.

"Jetzt kann ich ein Schaf leicht fangen".

"Now I can catch a sheep easily."

Aber in dieser Nacht brauchte der Hirte Fleisch zum Abendessen.

But that night, the shepherd needed meat for dinner.

Er sah seine Schafe im Dunkeln an.

He looked at his sheep in the dark.

Er wählte den nächsten aus - den Wolf im Schafspelz!

He picked the closest one - the wolf in sheep's clothing!

Der Hirte hat den Wolf mitgenommen.

The shepherd took the wolf away.

Der Wolf konnte nichts sagen, weil dann jeder sein Geheimnis kennen würde.

The wolf could not say anything because then everyone would know his secret.

Moral: Wenn du versuchst, andere zu betrügen, betrügst du vielleicht auch dich selbst.

Moral: If you try to trick others, you might trick yourself too.
