La tortue et le lièvre

Il y avait un lièvre rapide et une tortue lente.

Cnce, there was a fast hare and a slow tortoise.

Le lièvre se moquait toujours de la tortue parce qu'elle était lente.

The hare always made fun of the tortoise for being slow.

Un jour, la tortue en a eu assez et a défié le lièvre à une course.

One day, the tortoise had enough and challenged the hare to a race.

Le lièvre a ri et a accepté.

The hare laughed and agreed.

Le jour de la course, le lièvre a couru très vite.

On the day of the race, the hare ran very fast.

Il regarda en arrière et vit la tortue loin derrière.

He looked back and saw the tortoise far behind.

"J'ai beaucoup de temps", pensa le lièvre.

"I have plenty of time," the hare thought.

"Je vais faire une sieste".

"I'll take a nap."

Il a trouvé un endroit ombragé et s'est endormi.

So, he found a shady spot and fell asleep.

La tortue, bien que lente, continuait à marcher.

The tortoise, although slow, kept walking.

Il ne s'est jamais arrêté.

He never stopped.

Il passa devant le lièvre, qui dormait encore.

He walked past the hare, who was still sleeping.
